This privacy policy governs your use of the software application "Save It" (referred to as "the App" or "Save It") for mobile devices, developed by Majid. Save It is a bookmark and link management utility designed to help users organize URLs, set expiration timers, and schedule reminders.

1. Information Collection and Use

User-Provided Information

The App does not require a registration or user account. Any data you enter—such as URLs, bookmark folders, custom notes, and voice-to-text transcriptions—is stored locally on your device in a secure private database (SQLite Room) and is not uploaded to our servers.

AI Processing (Google Gemini API)

To generate automated bookmark titles, the App communicates with Google's Gemini AI API (generativeai SDK).

• When you save a link, the URL and metadata may be processed by Google Gemini to fetch and summarize the title.
• This processing is subject to Google's generative AI privacy practices.
• The user may be required to provide their own Gemini API key inside the App's settings, which is stored locally and securely on the device using Android DataStore.

Local Device Permissions

To provide its core features, the App may request the following system permissions:

• Notifications: Used to send you reminders before a link expires.
• Calendar (Optional): Used solely to write optional reminder events to your device's native system calendar at your explicit request.
• Alarm / Clock (Optional): Used to schedule native device alarms via Android's AlarmManager.
• Microphone (Optional): Used strictly for speech-to-text conversion when dictating local voice notes. Audio processing is handled locally on the device.

2. Data Third-Party Sharing and Transfers

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties.

• Web scraping: The App may perform basic network calls (via Ktor/OkHttp/Retrofit/Jsoup) to fetch public HTML titles of the URLs you save.
• Analytics: We do not track your usage behavior or collect telemetry.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is entirely yours.

• Bookmarks are automatically deleted from your local device database based on the "Lifetime Timers" you configure (e.g., 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week, etc.).
• You can manually delete bookmarks, folders, or clear the App's entire storage at any time via Android System Settings.
• Uninstalling the App will immediately and permanently erase all saved links, notes, and local configurations.

4. Children’s Privacy

The App does not collect any personal information. We do not knowingly target or solicit data from children under the age of 13.
